American Printing & Mailing is a full service commercial
printing and mailing company.
The company was started in Austin, Texas in 1974. In 1981,
the company purchased a building near North Lamar and Airport
Road. The business continued to grow as a small commercial printer.
In 1993, the founders of the company were ready for retirement
and sold the business to Dan Brannon.
Since his purchase Brannon and his staff have worked to
develop new accounts with businesses, ad agencies, associations
and government agencies. American Printing & Mailing has continually
purchased new equipment to maintain its state-of-the-art printing
facility. Scitex Digital Imaging for film output was added in
1992 and the company upgraded imaging in 2000 and then made
the switch to Computer to Plate(CTP) in 2005. New Heidelberg
presses were purchased in 1995, 1999, 2001, 2004, and most recently
added another 6 Color Heidelberg press with coater in 2006.
The bindery department is one of the best equipped in
the region.The company also added new high speed mailing equipment
to better automate the bulk mail process. The mailing department
processes hundreds of thousands of pieces of mail a day and
drop ships mailing across the country.
In June of 1999, Brannon purchased a new 28,000 square
foot building in the Walnut Creek Business Park , which will
accommodate for current needs and future expansion.
American Printing & Mailing works with many of Austin's
top business’s, ad agencies, and associations that desire a
single source provider - digital imaging, printing, mailing,
and fulfillment.
The company employs experienced and knowledgeable people,
some of whom have been with the company over 20 years. Brannon
anticipates more employee hires as the company continues to
grow.
